Photo Story
Here is another new chapter of "House of Pullip". It's spring break so I have a tiny bit more time, I hope I can just keep up with it for a while from here on out...we shall see. ;) Anyway, enjoy!
Brief plot summary: Ivy has not had the best luck with dating in the past and lately she is trying to avoid it in order to not be let down again. Her friends, Taryn and Felix would like to see her happy so they are glad when Ivy met their friend Gideon. Gideon wants to get to know Ivy better so he asks her out on a date and Ivy reluctantly accepts.
Chapter 440: Fangirl
Taryn: Ivy and Gideon have a date tonight? Why didn’t you tell me?
Felix: I only just found out myself earlier today.
Taryn: Oh! I hope they really…hit it off.
Felix: Well…we’ll see.
Elsewhere…
*In a local restaurant*
Gideon: Sorry, it’s a little crowded tonight so we have to wait a bit. But the lady over there said it shouldn’t be too long.
Ivy: I don’t mind.
Gideon: I don’t mind waiting either. The food here is good…and it gives us time to talk.
Ivy: *smile* What do you want to talk about?
Gideon: Well, I’d like to know-
Girl: *interrupting* Hey! Aren’t you Gideon Seth Miles?
Gideon: Er…well…yes. Yes, I am.
Girl: *squeals* I knew it! I have your CD and I love your music!
*Gideon looks uneasily at Ivy who stays silent*
Girl: *still gushing* Please tell me you’re going to put out another CD soon, I’m desperate for more.
Gideon: Um…I’m working on it now.
Girl: *claps her hands* Yay! I’m going to get it on the day it comes out…whenever that is.
Gideon: It’s nice to meet you…but I’m-
Girl: Can I have your autograph…please?
Gideon: Well…okay…
Girl: Thank you!
*the girl continues to ramble on while Gideon signs his autograph*
Girl: My friends won’t believe that I met you. I can’t wait to tell them! Oh…I wish I had a camera.
Gideon: …
Gideon: Here you go.
Girl: Thanks! Well, I’m so glad I met you…but I guess I’ll go now. Bye!
Gideon: Bye.
Gideon: Sorry about that.
Ivy: It’s okay.
Gideon: I actually really hate it when that happens. I never know what to say.
Ivy: You seemed to handle it fine to me…but I can see how that might get annoying.
Ivy: Um…does that happen often?
Gideon: No, thank goodness.
*Ivy smiles at him*
Gideon: What?
Ivy: You could have fried an egg on your face…it was that red.
Gideon: *laughs* Yeah…well…there you go.
Voice: Miles, party of two, your table is ready!
Gideon: That’s us. Shall we?
Ivy: I’m ready…let’s eat.
*They smile at each other*

The next chapter will have more with Ivy and Gideon and their date. My new Dal, Emily, showed up as the fangirl in this chapter...but that's not really her character...I just needed a doll to play that part and I figured since she'd never been in my story before she was the best choice. :P
Bonus Photo, my last Dalicious entry:
The theme for this last challenge was "Vintage". The first thing I thought of was those old fashioned silhouette photographs in black and white where the profile of the subject is all black against a white background. I actually did try to do it that way first, but it just wasn't really working the way I wanted so I tried again this way, using sepia and a little editing to make it look old.
I'm glad Dalicious is over, I just wasn't that into it. I tried to be, but I kind of lost steam after the third round. I felt like my photos were terrible and that my ideas were totally dull. The only thing I can do is blame it on my sluggish brain...but I am disappointed with my efforts in this contest. So yeah, glad it's over so I can stop beating myself up about it and just get over it. :(
