Chapter 371: Back Off
Taryn: I’ve had it, Laszlo. I’ve been patient, but you need to leave Felix alone.
Laszlo: If you’re asking me forget what he did to you, I can’t.
Taryn: You make it sound like my getting pregnant was all his fault, get real, okay?
Laszlo: He shouldn’t have…
Taryn: Please, Laszlo! I was living with Felix! What do you think we were doing every night, playing board games? You didn’t mind then, why should it matter after I got pregnant?
Laszlo: It does matter.
Taryn: Listen, Felix felt really terrible about what happened, but he took responsibility. He didn’t run away or dump me. I never told you because you were so angry, but he really took care of me which is why I can’t stand it that you won’t give Felix a break. He loves me and Madeline, he promised to be there for us…
Flashback…
*Taryn has just told Felix she is pregnant*
Felix: Oh…wow…I…I don’t know what to say.
Taryn: You don’t have to say anything; I just wanted you to know.
Felix: Taryn…I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean for this to happen.
Taryn: Hey, I don’t blame you, okay?
Felix: You should, it’s my fault.
Taryn: It’s no more your fault then mine...it happens. We just weren’t careful enough I guess.
Taryn: I just want you to know I’m going to keep the baby.
Felix: Well, yeah…
Taryn: Yeah. It’s a little bit of me and you…so it’s special. I could never give it up. But I don’t expect you to stay with me…if you don’t want to. I’m not asking you to do anything.
Felix: Whoa, wait a minute. Are you breaking up with me?
Taryn: No! I’m just saying I don’t expect anything if you aren’t ready to be a parent.
Felix: I’ll be ready…for you and our baby. I love you, Taryn, and I’m not leaving.
Taryn: You have no idea how relieved I am to hear you say that!
*They embrace*
Felix: I need you no matter what.
Taryn: I love you. I wouldn’t want to have anyone’s baby but yours.
Felix: Let’s get married.
Taryn: What?
Felix: I mean it. Let’s get married and be a real family for our baby. Please?
Taryn: This isn’t how I would want it to be for you to ask me. I don’t want to feel like you have to marry me.
Felix: You don’t understand…I would have wanted to marry you anyway. Maybe it’s a little sooner then I planned…but I already know you are the one I want to be with for the rest of my life.
Taryn: Really?
Felix: Really. Please marry me.
Taryn: *nods* Okay, I’ll marry you.
Taryn: So you see, it was all Felix’s idea, I didn’t force him to marry me. He took care of me, he always has. He loves me and Madeline. I love him more then anything…so leave him alone.
Felix: Yeah, he took such good care of you when he left to New York for six months.
Taryn: Not that it’s your business but he did that for Madeline. Did you know that he made enough money working on that album to pay for her entire college education?
Laszlo: *speechless*
Taryn: Yeah, it sucked that he was gone that long, but he did it to take care of his family. All that money is being put away for Madeline we can have peace of mind for her future.
*Laszlo shrugs*
Taryn: *getting angry* Nothing is good enough for you, is it? I don’t know why I bother anymore. Just stay away from me, Laszlo, I mean it!
Laszlo: *sigh* Whoa, I wonder if she really means I have to stay away from her? I hope not…she’s still my sister. I should talk to her some more…
*He follows Taryn…*

So, now you know why Laszlo isn't a huge fan of Felix. :P I'm sure a few of you guessed it. Since Taryn and Felix are a little older I thought they'd deal with the unexpected in a more mature fashion (although they had some hard times, I'm just not getting into that, but to think everything went perfect without problems wouldn't be realistic). Felix won't get upset about Laszlo's treatment of him, though, because he still sort of thinks he deserves it. Taryn, however, has had it. She loves Felix and all he's done for her and she thinks he's a great dad, so she doesn't want to sit by and let Laszlo treat him that way anymore. They still have more to work out...coming soon. :D
Allison, I did the flashback just for you. Well, I was thinking of doing it anyway, but you sort of convinced me... :P
Bonus photo of Avery:
I took her hair done out of the stock rubber bands holding it back. Then I washed it, conditioned the heck out of it, and cut off about two inches. It's all soft and less frizzy now so I love it. Then I dressed Avery in a new outfit I had Bo in for a long time...but I figured it was time to let someone else try it out. :P
