It's New Year's Eve! The last day of 2008. I hope everyone has a great New Year in 2009, and stay safe tonight please...don't do anything stupid (heh, not the best way to start a New Year, doing stupid stuff I mean). Anyone have any grand plans for tonight? I'll just be hanging out with my husband's family and we are all going bowling later today, not at midnight, just today and that should be fun even though I suck. :P

Chapter 295: Please Talk
*Felix approaches Ivy*
Felix: Ivy! Can I talk to you, please?
Ivy: Felix?
Felix: Please…I just want to talk to you.
Ivy: Well, I don’t know.
Felix: How long are you going to avoid me? I’m trying to be patient but it’s hard…I miss you.
Ivy: You don’t need me to keep you company.
Felix: What are you talking about?
Ivy: I’ve seen you…and that…other girl. You don’t seem that lonely to me.
Felix: Do you mean Taryn?
Ivy: I don’t know her name...
Felix: The only other girl I’ve been hanging around is Taryn, but she’s just a friend.
Ivy: Sure.
*Felix begins to laugh*
Ivy: What’s so funny?
Felix: You are! Don’t you see? You’re jealous.
Ivy: I…I am not!
Felix: Yes, you are…just like I was jealous of you and that Zander guy.
Ivy: But there was nothing going on between me and Zander.
Felix: And I just told you there is nothing going on between me and Taryn…it’s exactly the same. *he keeps chuckling to himself*
Ivy: *sigh*
Felix: Well…I suppose we’re even now.
*Ivy tries to ignore him*
Felix: Come on, Ivy, can’t you see that’s it’s at least a little funny?
*Ivy tries not to smile*
Felix: I saw that. It’s okay to smile, you know.
Ivy: Okay…maybe it is a little funny. *smiles a little*
Felix: That’s better. I like seeing you smile…I haven’t seen you smile for a long time.
Ivy: I haven’t been happy for a while…
Felix: I want to fix it; I want to make you happy again. Please…let me take you out and try to make it right.
Ivy: Well…
Felix: Ignoring me isn’t going to resolve this. It’s either going to work or it won’t. Let’s at least try so we can get on with our lives. Please…?
Ivy: You have been waiting patiently.
Felix: I’ve tried to be good and I have tried to give you your space.
Ivy: Yes, you have. I appreciate that.
Felix: So?
Ivy: Alright…I’ll go. But I can’t promise anything.
Felix: Neither can I, but thank you for giving it a try with me. *smiles*
*Ivy smiles back*

So, Felix decided to force the issue with Ivy and it paid off. Partly he did this because he's sick of waiting to know what's going to happen next and partly he did this because he was way too tempted by Taryn (which I thought was pretty obvious in the last chapter). He likes them both, but knows the right thing to do is to finish what he started with Ivy instead of running off with Taryn. More Taryn in the next chapter... ;)
I can't post the next on Friday, we will be driving home...would you rather see it tomorrow or Saturday? Leave your feedback unless it doesn't matter to you. :D
