Well, I wonder what it's like to be a superhero...

I got  dragged over to Riley's house the other day.

Okay, so dragged is a little bit of an exaggeration. I was taken over by my own volition.

The reason would be her "Heroes" box set, and the fact that it's all kinds of blasphemy that I've yet to get in on that action. Thankfully, I've seen the error of my wicked ways, and am now almost through ( Read more... )

It's 1407. As in, 1407 Graymalkin Lane, Westchester County.

I nearly collapsed in geeky love, and was joined by Riley once I pointed it out.

Obviously. :)

I've been toying with doing that myself, but I figure that as long as I don't own it, I have an excuse to escape over to Riley's for an afternoon and take advantage of her DVDs and the cooking.

I think a lot of people had that initial reaction (myself included) to the show. The presumed total rip-off of IP's that I rather like and so on.

However, I couldn't ignore it because I work at an NBC station. So, I ended up getting into it. Oddly enough my mom loves it as well, so the ritual is watching with my mom and explaining the super-hero-ey stuff to her during breaks.

Super-hero-ey stuff.

I think I may need to adopt that in to my personal lexicon for no other reason than I like the way it sounds. Heee.

Oh, glad I could help.

There is nothing quite like breaking down 'Days of Future Past' for your mom over dinner and explaining how it relates to that nights episode of Heroes.

You mean your mother actually listens to you geek off about stuff like that?

Dammit, I need to trade in my family one of these days. Either that, or double check on the warranty -- I may be entitled to free repairs.

Damn. December 10th? I feel for you.

And the most surreal part of this all (for me, anyhow)is that a week ago, I wouldn't have even cared.

That's a long wait. You're welcome to vicariously squee through me until then.
