Yesterday was a wreck of a day.
There was a huge drama-blow-up amongst the grade 8 students. The grade 9s could not focus to save their lives. The grade 12s would continuously talk back or whisper behind my back. This is not normal behavior from them. At all. I though maybe I'd gone and done something wrong, because it was just so ubiquitous.

If you are to know the Acadians, you must know two things:
They may bend, but they never bow.
They are born with songs in their very veins.
The first is the reason they were forced from their homeland, and the second is what kept them alive as they fled. Oh, you may hear a good deal else about their survival -- lord knows there are tales aplenty of ships and journeys and scraping by -- but it will always come back to the blood. You can't escape it. And I'm currently having visions of a slightly scrubbed up, fed, and sort-of talking Remy desperately trying to get Emil to teach him to fiddle, or to at least play...
I DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THE ANSWERS TO MANY OF THESE QUESTIONS. BUT I KIND OF WANT TO FIND OUT.

I'm so glad that you like this! It's nice to know that my nerdery pays off on occasion. I had so much fun writing this universe. I won't lie to you, I read it aloud too. With the accent and everything.
Mind me asking how you found your way here? I love strangers!

Ha, I so cannot do an Acadian accent. No exposure! I tip my hat to you.
Also, high five for the Canadian west coast types. I used to spend a lot of time out that way and miss it terribly.
