With all this school crap going on right now, I'm growing paranoid as per usual. It's at the point where this is starting to become status quo.

As is my habit when I become paranoid, I pace a lot. And I overthink things. And I drink too much coffee. And I start going over any and all of my fallback plans in minute detail.

Teaching abroad would be awesome. You should definitely consider it because it's the kind of thing that changes your perspective on life completely. I studied in Japan and China an I loved it (though China not so much).

At least you have option to whine about. I'm stuck at Banana Republic with no real escape in the near future. /sob

I'm hoping something like that happens! If I can't teach at the private school I've had my eye on, then I really, really, really would love to go abroad and actually teach as opposed to just live.

You'll make it out, don't worry. I've spent a couple years in this job/life hole, and I'm only now just making it to the top. It'll take time, but you'll get there. *hugs*

With the caveat that I know very little about hiring teachers, options 2 & 3 sound most feasible. Both give you practical experience that seem to be needed in the school system. Also, travelling!

Even without knowing much about hiring teachers, you are probably right. Experience is better than education, sadly. This leads us to that stupid loop of how the hell do you get experience when everyone wants experience to start with?

I call the local private school I've been obsessing over on Monday (when they open, not when their classes begin), and find out details then. From there, I think it's most likely off to Quebec.
