So Jack! Tortuga is a home port, in more ways than one. It would be reasonable to believe that there are at least a few dark-headed, and charminly intelligent children scrambling about that might not have been if the Black Pearl hadn't made port.
The grumbling stomach was great...but was that Tia or his dark lady that inflicted such inflictions? Guess we'll have to wait.
It would seem Jack has a whole host of problems on his plate. Just remains to be seen if his guardians are going to help with his problems, or add to them.
This is great! Loving every word of it. Again, so Jack-ish!

*chuckles* Poor Jack. He's sure not having any luck here. Tia and his Dark Lady are rather a roguish lot to be guardians, savvy? Seems their help is more harm than help, sometimes. Glad you liked though I am sorry I interrupted your writing. Nano?
Mind if I friend you, lass?

It would be interesting to see just how big of a 'pin' someone would need.
I'll have to agree. He does seem to be in a position of "Don't help! I won't survive it!"
Trying to get my WIP--Saga polished up. I keep having all those little second thoughts...and then Jack keeps whispering one more thing in my ear. Pestilence!

And you need more than a belaying pin or two to pin Jack down to something like that!
*whacks you with the fore-mentioned belaying pin. Don't put yourself down, lass! You are a lovely person and there's a reason I'm laying the blame for this fic squarely at your feet! It was your comments that started it... Honestly, luv, don't diss yourself.
*Wanders away, musing on the "Don't help! I won't survive it!" comment*
Dammit, there goes my Tia muse again! *grumbles*

“Now, lass, you know there ain’t no way t’prove that!”
Hee. Something tells me it wouldn't be presumptuous to go ahead and rename the island "Gorrión".
Jack slipped out into the dark night, grinning at the sight of a soundly drunken Gibbs asleep in the pig wallow, snoring enough to be mistaken for one of the swine.
Hooray for the Gibbs cameo appearance! Nice little tidbit, there.
The rum was a soothing warmth in his gut, but his stomach was unsettled.
I wondered how quickly Jack would forget about that curse (or ignore it). On the second read-through I was impressed at how early you started dropping the clues that he was falling ill. Er...cursed.
Tia might get some rum again, but damned sure she wouldn’t like where he’d be putting it for her!
Would that make her a rummy tart? :p

Given that it is Jack we're talking about here, it's not so far-fetched to believe there might be a few fledgling Sparrow's around. Elise wrote herself into the story, and I admit to having a soft sport for her.
I tried to drop hints early that Jack was falling under the influence of Tia's little curse. Being Jack, it was inevitable, he'd ignore Tia's words (rummy tart that she is ^_~)
Poor Gibbs will be making a reappearance next chapter and Jack will find out a bit more about his Lady guest.
Tia's playing with a loaded deck and she's got more plots than a Sherlock Holmes collection. The next chapter will be up within a day or two, and I hope you enjoy it as much as you liked this one!
