e.e. cummings poem

First of all, I am so incredibly happy to have found a place like this. I love reading and writing and I believe that tattoos are just another way of publishing yourself. Anyways...
I'm going to get "i carry your heart with me" by e.e. cummings for my sister. I wanted to just get the last part of the poem tattooed on my left rib in a typewriter-like

i'm getting just the last line on the inside of my upper left arm. but i do like the idea of the last two, and even though i love the whole thing as you do, its going to feel like you're cutting out something important no matter where you cut it off so go with your original instinct, i say =]

I guess you could ask yourself this: do I want a reminder of this beautiful poem written on my body, or do I want to be able to actually read the poem off of my ribcage?

I would go for the reminder, personally... but that's also because I think too much text in a tattoo usually looks sort of tacky.

true. true. I've finally figured it out. I'm scheduled for Wednesday and will post a picture soon. It's highly unfortunate that I'll never be able to work in a cubicle...
