Yeah... none of those are too appealing to me. I LOVE wrist tattoos and plan to get two of them once I know it will be okay for me job-wise. It's a popular place because it's an attractive place.
I also second/third/fourth just getting the "XVII."

As for wrist tattoos, if you think they would look good on you, go for it. Lots of tattoos/placements get bad reputations but it should be right for you personally.
Example: Lower back on girls is often named 'tramp stamp' but it can be beautiful (see a few posts down with the Slaughterhouse Five tattoo) it does not matter if they're cliche or fashionable, do what you want on your body.

I have wrist tatt, a tramp stamp and my shoulder-blades. NOOOOOOO (I think they look good, though - placement is really dependent on your body and what you show/feel connected with. I'd never be able to get a chest piece or a hip piece, and I wish I could. :\)
