My friend clued me into this site, it is SO BALLER. Anyway, I have two tattoos, both of which have a literary bent. The first one I got (I haven't any good pictures just of it for some reason) is from Skirnir's Journey, part of a Norse epic, and it's in old runes. The second one is from Paradise lost ( Read more... )

I know the term 'tramp stamp' refers to the lower back placement, but in my opinion, quoting Paradise Lost automatically excludes it from that category. ;-)

My medieval/renaissance professor in college had a tattoo of the dragon in The Hobbit, and I believe it's on her lower back. The Hobbit dragon =/= tramp stamp, as well, haha.

i have a literary "tramp stamp" too, but literary definitely negates the tramp stamp placement aspect!

I was working on my paradise lost paper yesterday and i was like, i wonder what the last words are. they would probably make a good tattoo. but i didn't have my book so i didn't check.

I think a good part of why I have them tattooed on me is now I can't forget what they are. except they're on my back so I can't really see them. fail on my part. :)
