I know Sophia is still alive and well in the comic, so it really seems like the tv series is changing things up. I knew Sophia would be in the barn, because it's just something this show would do. But, it was still a heartbreaking and shocking moment. I mean, she's a little girl and someone they knew.

I'm really interested to see where the rest of the season goes, because it's very different from the farm arc in the comics. I've never read it, but I've read up on it and so many people who are supposed to be dead (Maggie's family) are alive.

Oh, and Shane irritates me a bit, too. But, I can see his point in wanting to kill the Walkers in the barn. They are dead. Not sick. Not people. DEAD.

This is why I can deal with Shane for the moment, because he does make sense. The Walkers had to be put down. I can also see Rick's POV, which would have required getting Herschel to realize that what he sees as sick people are, in fact, walking corpses driven by insatiable hunger ( ... )

I haven't read the comics either (well, I just started reading them) and Shane's actually my favorite character on the show, flawed idiot that he is. He is the perfect example of moral turpitude I've ever seen, and his self-hate and ALL THAT RAGE just...there's something about him that's pathetic and I seem to be attracted to men with epic pain no matter how self inflicted it is.

Loved that episode. Sad, sad, sad.

Shane is one of those characters I WANT to like, because I agree with a lot of his POV. But he takes it just that little bit too far, to a wild-eyed level. And his obsession with Lori is just creepy. In a sane world like before the apocalypse he's fine; but in this crazy dystopia of zombies and death, he's just a hairsbreadth away from Mad Max. He's not my favorite character by far, but like I said, he sure makes things interesting!

I can see the appeal, but he just rubs me the wrong way. Which is annoying, because I agree with most of his positions. I just think he's got a bit too much psycho behind his eyes.

And he killed Otis, who was played by one of my favorite character actors. That made me sad. :(

Yeah I am glad you agree with his positions because seriously keeping a barn full of walkers is just NOT ON.

Also yeah the episode where he killed Otis made me cry :(

Someone really should have done what Shane did and pumped a Walker full of lead in front of Herschel & Family WAY earlier than they did. If Herschel genuinely doesn't understand that A) Walkers Aren't People, and B) Walkers would love nothing better than to rip the flesh from your bones, and C) the world is crawling with them, there's no better way to get that point across than "executing" one in front of the old man's eyes ( ... )

It's very good! I preferred it to the first season, although the zombie action is less in S2 thus far (it's back in February).

And yes, avoid spoilers! Much more fun that way. ^_^

HEE! It's great, isn't it? It's got a bit more depth than S1, since we already know most of the characters. I love me some zombies, but I like getting to know the humans more in-depth, too.

And YES. DARYL/ANDREA FTW, DARN IT. "Consider it payback for laughing at my itchy ass." *hearts Daryl like crazy!*
