*red eyed* Oh, my God! I'm crying! I'm actually crying!!
Poor Billy! Poor Emilie!!! And for once, I'm really wanting to punch the hell out of Dom for not noticing *did I type it right???* how broken they both were!!

*Sobbing* Oh, the poor thing...But, man! That was a hard choice. I mean...HOW do you choose between Dom and Billy??? This is just unfair!

Seriously. This was beautiful. Just...angstly perfect.

Kisses&Cookies!!

I know! I think that has to be the hardest choice Emilie would ever have to face; everything after that would be a piece of cake!

I desperately wanted to write really heart-rending angst; I'm glad to hear I appear to have succeeded. ;) Thank you! *hugs!*

Oh, Melissa!

It's so beautiful. It's so lovely.

It's so good it hurts.

For a moment he let himself wonder what this scene would have been like had he been the one Emilie had chosen, rather than Dom. For one, Dominic wouldn't have been there; the younger man was passionate, and that kind of betrayal would have shaken him to the core. There would have been an awkward air of uneasiness from the guests, most of whom were mutual friends; some of them might even have chosen not to come, to show some solidarity with Dom. He was willing to believe it would have been raining, too, rather than this tumultuous, ruggedly beautiful sky.

THAT was my favorite bit.

I don't know what else to say other than you have, once again, BLOWN ME AWAY.

Awww, shucks. *blush* Thank you, Stacy! That means a lot, coming from you. :-D I'm so glad you liked it!

THAT was my favorite bit.

Thank you! I had to put that in there, to show the reader why Emilie had to choose Dom over Billy. Like she said, when all things are equal, SOMETHING has to tip the scales; in this case, it was what would cause the least pain. With Dom, everyone but herself and Billy are happy. Had she gone with Billy, entire swaths of people would have been uncomfortable. It was the greater of two goods, so to speak. Though it's sad to think she'll never be completely happy, and neither will Bill, though they'll both cope and move forward. *coo*

Thank you again!

WHEE! I've been out of the computer-world for a while now. This week has been hectic as all hell. And what do I see when I check out my flist? THIS! And it's SO. BLODDY. FANTASTIC!

When you posted the general gist of what you were planning I got estatic and now's here! YAY!

Hee: Is this the first Dombilie fic you've written that ISN'T NC-17?

This was painful to read, but in a VERY good way. I've always been more of a Domilie fan than an Embilly one, but this one? Tore my heart out. Billeh! I choose you! Come on over and I'LL soothe your pain!

I'm putting this in my memories. *clicks* I'm definitely going to be reading this again.

*giggle!* Yes, Embilly can be a bit of an acquired taste. I'm like Emilie -- I'm an equal opportunity 'shipper ;) -- but in the end, Dom always has to win; he is, after all, her first love of the two!

I'm so glad you liked it, hon! :-D

Gorgeous, as always!

Have you ever considered writing a "Booze" fic? Boone and Zelda, that is! LOL. An alive Boone - I'm not into corpse sex.

But I digress. Your story is sweet, powerful, and a real tear-jerker.
Can't wait for you to get that book published!

Booze, eh? ;) I'll keep it in mind. LOL!

I'm so glad you liked it! And if I ever do get around to publishing a book, I shall have to include "Zeldabel" in my dedication. ;) Thank you!

That was beautiful. And it was like ripping my heart out. I don't think I've cried this hard at a fic yet.

*HUGS!* Odd as it sounds, I'm glad it made you cry. That was my aim -- to write a real tearjerker. I'm so glad it touched an emotional nerve!

Thank you!

Doesn't sound odd to me. I love a good tearjerker.
