Sweet Lolita

May 22, 2009 08:37

It was such a beautiful day... okay, it was a freezing cold day, but I wanted to enjoy the springtime blossoms before they all fell off the trees. So, it was time to do some Sweet Lolita pictures! As usual, my photographer was the lovely Géraldine Vincent.

Oh my *___* This outfit is divine! It´s very sweet but you don´t look over-the-top and there´s still the refined elegance which is typical for Lolita <3

Thank you so much! I wanted to wear a dress that would match the tree blossoms. ^_^

Wow! The dress matches the tree blossoms~ I actually love all of them! They're all very cute!

My favorites are #1, followed by #4. XD #1 just has a family/homey feel to it, almost like the two models are sisters. And #4 just made me lol because you're keeping someone off-camera from eating the delicious watermelon that you faux-offered in #3. XD

My least favorite would be #2, just because it doesn't have a strong effect like the other four pictures. XD I think the coloring on #5 is a bit strange and adds an ethereal/spooky rather than cute element despite the cute pose! I think it's the cool color scheme. XD (mostly blues and the reddish maroon is suddenly closer to red-violet, which is a cool color too)

You look like you had a lot of fun with this one. :D

Thanks for the detailed feedback! Yeah, I had a lot of fun doing these. And it was a delight to see how Géraldine used special effects to make me look like twins in the first pic! ^_^

The watermelon actually wasn't in our original plan, but a store was giving it away for free, so we used it as an opportunity for some amusing pics. XD

LOL! Well, people say the best Photoshop work is when nobody even realizes that Photoshop was used. I'm sure Géraldine will appreciate the compliment. ^_^

Hey, I didn't know you had a twin! ;D That's some gorgeous work and the color is beautiful. The watermelon pics are cute but I like the last one best for the way the wind (or gravity, from the angle) catches that lock of hair.
