Maísa (your author) explains - Since Leadership and Love takes place in 2007, this will probably happen during a future sequel. This is still a part of Magnet Firm series.
In memory of our most beloved Heath Ledger (my inspiration on so many levels), who was, until the end, a man in love with the unexpected.

Jack looked at the television, surprised. He blinked once, then twice. Surely it couldn’t be. He must've heard wrong.
“What is it baby?” Ennis asked interested as he entered the living room, where Jack was still standing, staring at the television.
“I’m just... surprised.” Jack answered, shaking his head in disbelief.
“You’re making me worry.” Ennis said, looking at the TV for answers.
“I’ve just seen on the news… Heath Ledger is dead.” Jack said sadly.
“The actor?” Ennis asked, looking at the grey television in front of him, but the reporter was no help.
“Yes.” Jack said quickly. “I can’t believe it… Just the other day I was talking with Robert about his next movie and how it would be great to see him as the Joker, since we’re both Batman fans.”
“Yeah, I know about him too. Jesus Christ….” Ennis murmured, watching another set of images.
They stood in silence, side by side, watching as the mysterious details of Heath’s final seconds in this world were reported on the television. Finally the news moved to the delay of a drug campaign by the Bush administration.
“One of my favourite actors of our generation… gone.” Jack said sadly.
“How old was he?” Ennis asked looking at Jack.
“They said he was 28.”
“That’s three years younger than us.” Ennis said surprised.
The idea scared Ennis tremendously. At his age no healthy man is expecting a fatality. Even after dealing closely with death, during those many years of working exclusively on murder cases, Ennis never let such unpleasant thoughts cross his mind. If he was lucky, he had another 40 or 50 years ahead of him. Hhe was in the prime of his life. He had just recently started a fabulous new job, made new friends. He'd even gotten a pet, discovered his true sexual orientation and met the love of his life. All this in the last year alone! How would it had been if his life had ended at the young age of 28, just like Heath?
He felt Jack’s hand meet his half away and he squeezed it hard. He couldn’t even imagine the other way around. If Jack…
“Have you ever…?” Jack asked gently, stopping his terrifying line of thought.
Ennis wasn’t sure what specifically the question was about. And he certainly didn’t want to know.
“It won’t happen. Don’t think about it, baby.” He used his hands to pull his boyfriend closer.
“My father…” Ennis silenced him with his index finger barely touching Jack’s lips.
“Remember what I said to you at Elizabeth’s wedding? When we got back together?” His finger traced Jack’s jaw. “I’ll always be here for you.”
“Always?” Jack asked, leaning into the touch.
“Always.” Ennis whispered against Jack’s mouth.
“I love you, Ennis Del Mar.” Jack said a few minutes later, resting in the hug they were sharing.
“I love you too.”
