Well, with the new hooves Lancer knew he couldn't go back in to work until after the demon had been removed and the hooves faded. Not having shoes that fit tended to get in the way of things

Kwan left his bedroom, carrying a stack of books with him. He was trying to balance his time between working on the detector for Masters and researching more about the fae. Of course, he tended to get too engross with whichever one he was working on at the time. At least he had managed to scratch a few dozen fae that he could be.
He paused as he passed through the living room and stared at the cardboard box sitting there. "Lancer?" he called out, glancing around the room for the man.
Lancer was in a funk-like combination of sulking, making murr sounds, and eating spicy pineapple. When he heard Kwan call for him he thumped the side of the box but made no real effort to exit it.
Kwan lifted a brow at the box when he heard a thump. After setting the books down on the table, he walked over to the box and lifted it. "What are you doing?" he asked, giving his teacher an odd look.
"Setting off my own traps, it seems," Lancer said sullenly. "I'm trying to coax the demon out so I can get my feet back but I keep ending up trapping myself." He wriggled his hooves for emphasis then went back to munching his pineapple.
