This was beautiful. I would have loved to see this. This made the fic for me:

Even House doesn’t have answers now, and that’s the thought that finally makes the tears come.

Love.

Thank you. House's mentor/quasi-paternal relationship with Chase is something I love to explore in fic, and since House was glaringly absent from the wedding...

The last line is my favorite, too: my personal philosophy is that a short fic should end with a line that hits hard.

I've gotten into the habit of writing a ficlet after any episode I find moving. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

And you just made me want to cry all over again.

Brilliant fic for a brilliant, heart-wrenching episode.

This is so lovely, just so lovely. My love for Chase has grown a lot in this season, amazing given that he hasn't had a huge amount of screen time, but it really seems that House, Cameron and Chase are what amounts to friends in House's view of the world. Chase trying to diagnose him... aww *sniff* thank you so much for writing this!

Chase was always my favorite of Fellows 1.0, and it's been wonderful to watch him develop with the years. House's mentor/quasi-paternal relationship with him is something I particularly love exploring in fic, and tonight's episode provided an excellent opportunity.

And yes, I thought it made sense that, in House's absence, Chase would reach for the methods House had taught him in an attempt to solve the problem.

I enjoyed reading it. It's also up very quickly... Were you jotting down notes before the credits were even over? :)

The only notes I take for post-ep fics are mental, but thanks for the compliment and for taking the time to comment.
