Act III

[Scene: WILSON’S office.  He’s standing by the door with an expression that’s half-determined, half-nervous.  After a minute or two, he leaves the room and walks toward diagnostics, peering through the glass.  HOUSE is not there; he opens the door and pokes his head in.]

So good. So, so good. Perfect dialogue, all in character, wonderful songs (I haven't heard the originals but it doesn't detract from it) - just marvelous. <3

when I die and go to heaven, this will be on a big screen with surround sound.

It is so totally made of all kinds of awesome; I downloaded the Buffy songs to do a sing-along House/Wilson ;) Oh so good.

I read an interview in which David Shore mentioned a musical episode but then added that of course he was just kidding. Too bad, as I thought it would be brilliant, especially if it went something like this! In a way it's too bad that Chase and Cameron didn't stand in for Xander and Anya, given the parallel impending marriage situation, but on the other hand that duet (as I mentioned earlier) is so terrific with House and Wilson that I wouldn't trade it.

Thanks for writing and sharing!

Yes, a musical episode certainly would have been brilliant, considering they have such a musically talented cast.

I might have considered a Chase/Cameron subplot and making them the dissolving couple to House and Wilson's forming one, but I wrote "DDX" pre-S4, before I could have known that's where they were going. (It was actually the first piece I posted in House fandom that wasn't playing in another person's universe.)

In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed!
