AND THE END These are the 4th and 5th chapters today. This is the end of Xander's story, but the epilogue will return to the universe of Benny and Dean and Sam.
I've done this at the end of a couple different stories, but it's different here because I had written large chunks of this already. I still have an epilogue that returns to glance in at Dean, Sam and Benny, but my eyes hurt, so I may proofread and post that tomorrow.
Sob it's over. So the two of them are home leaving a different SPN!verse (still not convinced that it's the canon one as there were a few intrusions by aliens that seemed to me to be hard to hide from the public IIRC). Perhaps one day you'll show us how "Taxi Driver" played out in the revamped 'verse. What an amazing combo of storylines...you have a very strange muse *g*.

Taxi Driver isn't going to happen because the second that anyone brings up the plan to close the gate of hell, Dean is going to start thinking about what Xander said and talking to his new allies, and Daniel is going to have a million reasons why that is a horrible idea. Now, when they find out Bobby is down there, I'm sure they will still want a ride down to hell, but Benny has the power to see thoughts and help them find someone who deserves a quick ticket off the planet.
I should add that I liked your Eve. I always thought that Dean should have taken her up on her offer after a little more negotiating. Kick Crowley's A** and have her leave earth with out making any super monster breeds + take any of the new breeds with her. Keep the status quo

The girls always will be home to Xander, even if he was out of step with them there for a while. They love him, and even when they don't understand him, they will keep loving him. I really wanted to show that their "family" vibe is still intact.
wow, what a lovely surprise, I step away from the computerfor a day or two and there are several new chapters to wallow in when I come back! Loved the final twists and turns and am happy/sad that Xander went home. This world that you created isn't quite his world, but he did have Benny and Dorsey and possibilities there, but now that the girls came for him and Spike is with him, he isn't exactly on his own any more. I would love to read a little more about how he is when he returns because Xander/Spike is one of my favourite ever parings and you do write them so well

This isn't a perfect world, but I do hope this reality has more potential for them. I liked Eve in the show. I really wished they could have done more with her, but she was the bad guy, so that made it hard.
I have some trouble with Supernatural, in part because "fixing" them does seem to be teaching them to be okay with their own weakness and death, and that's not what the show is about. Although, ironically, I have heard rumors that the original ending had them jumping into the pit together. That would have been an ending that would have made me bawl and then totally accept that the boys had found their power and their true path.
