Oooh, ready to battle! Next chapter is going to be so much fun to read ^^ (also, I'd be laughing my ass off if Xander hadn't actually left the Mountain and was stuck in the toilets or something xD)
Jack is always ready to battle... unlike certain military units that couldn't seem to handle one little baddie. And that would be funny, but after the Finn conversation, I think Jack's gut is right.
I should have known Xander's loyalties wouldn't be conflicted at all. Buffy and Co. in deep weeds, goodbye SGC. But it looks like the SGC is following him which should make the fight against Glory very interesting. These are going to be some fascinating interactions coming up. I'm not sure which one I'm looking forward to more. Giles and Daniel are about to have a very interesting conversations. I hope they packed several NDAs. :)
Xander loves his girls. It's an irrational, familial bond that they share, and it will always be there. Anya couldn't change that, and Daniel can't either, particularly not after a few weeks.
lol loeved the bit from daniel about the MPs knowing better when jack tried to throw daniel in the brig. and danny's finally starting to vent his feelings towards jack, that's going to be really explosive when that situation finally goes all the way through. and it's a mission to california, poor jack, the one place he wanted to keep danny away from lol. another wonderful chapter, keep up the great work!
Yeah, I get the feeling that Jack has tried to throw Daniel in the brig once or twice, even if it was as a joke. And I"m glad that you can see that this relationship really needs a little venting.
Yay I'm so loving this fic even if it isn't Spander. And yes it would be funny if Xander was stuck in the base somewhere and then had to go to rescue Jack and Daniel from their running off to Sunnyhell in such a hurry.
Riley said he wasn’t outing Buffy or Willow specifically, so he trusted that their faces weren’t clear, but that didn’t mean that the footage couldn’t still have a high humiliation factor. Xander knew he spent a lot of time running and screaming like a little girl while some vamp chased him. Well the tape certainly didn't show that.
I'm thinking maybe it was hearing about Joyce, the group's mother figure, that sent Xander back home.
Xander really assumes the worst of himself--he thinks that everyone sees him as the goof, so he is going to need to get smacked in the face before he'll believe that Jack sees him as anything other than a loser.
And it would be funny if Xander were in the bathroom, but the idea of the girls hiding a big bad and Joyce sick... that's enough to send him AWOL
