I think that working with the military, Janet would recognize his self-destructive streak better than most. He's just one more flyboy who pushes himself too far and she has to patch him back together.

Xander logic and Xander loyalty are both in full force here. The one might be questionable, but the other is rock solid.

And yes, I do think Daniel is a little impressed. Xander blew up the NID. Now when Jack learns that, the man is going to be jealous as all hell

I did have a bit of a spurt. Actually... I wrote a whole Riley-Jack conversation, but we aren't to that chapter yet.
