He might be willing to offer Mal his power, but he clearly wouldn’t offer it to anyone else, and Nandi honored that by putting her back to him so he would hold the power. Jayne could attack more easily than she could defend herself. “Mal,” Nandi repeated when Mal’s eyes seemed to glaze over at the sight of Jayne on his knees. “Mal!”

Its nice to find another chapter. Nandi was much blunter and more forceful than I expected.

Mal unable to tear his eyes from the sight of Jayne on his knees had me giggling madly. :) If this doesn't work, nothing will. Somehow, I suspect Jayne will get his message across if Mal is too gobsmacked to take it in.
