Liked the story the first time around, and I am enjoying seeing it again.

One technical edit (which I can't believe made it past your eagle eyes!)

I'm so glad you're enjoying it, and I'm not at all surprised I missed that. I'm a better plotter than grammarer. ;)

Now don't get the wrong idea, I loved Old War Horses too. I am a Jim/Blair girl, and a Lit-Gal fan. I love it all.

It's a while since I read the original but I do think that Aliah is better developed, and I really enjoyed the verbal duelling between her and Blair in this section. (And as for OWH - crossovers always run the risk of turning off someone who doesn't read both fandoms - the FF fans think there's too much J&B, and the TS fans think there's too much FF. *g*)

I have worked to put Aliah's insecurities more up front so you don't get a big chunk of attitude in the first bit and then a big chunk of insecurity in the second. The character is mixed a bit better.

And I totally understand that happens with crossovers. Unless one fandom is dominant, it is hard to keep everyone happy. Too many main characters.

It looks like it would take someone as forceful and bullheaded as this woman to get the two together at this point.
