Hot. Glad to see Mal isn't a complete moron.
Thanks for sharing.

He's not a total moron... just a little slow, particularly when it comes to relationships. He'll figure it out. Eventually

LOL! Mal is slow but at least he's making progress.

He never was the brightest when it came to relationships, but he's making up for it with effort

hot, unbelievably hot. I'm blushing and getting all hot and bothered. I'll be marking this as a reread just for this chapter alone.

no pressure but more please

Awww. Thank you so much. Mal is struggling with this, but he is doing his best to rise to the occasion.

at least Mal is thinking about his preconceptions, and now its obvious why Jayne is so popular at the whorehouse and Mal is not. Great chapter. When do you finish with the sex and get to the action?

LOL. Usually people are getting on me about too much action and not enough sex. This is actually the end of the sex... the boys all have it figured out (or at least they're in the process of doing the figuring). We can trust them to pull their heads out their asses after this.

I always could enjoy stories that coped with sex in the Regency manner, the couple retired after dinner into a bedroom, closed the door and the reader met them again during breakfast. Salacious details was found by noticing the smirk on their faces and the hearty appetites.

Great chapter! I'm glad to see that Mal is finally getting the hang of things, and doing a good job of it, even if he is making it up as he goes along. And he's not the only one to learn anything, either. Jayne is obviously good at pleasing his lovers, but when it comes to himself, he still has a few things to learn. They'll be good for each other, I think. Dr. Sandburg, your work here is done. *g*

I noticed that you said you're getting back to the action now. I hate to see the sexin' go, but I've been wondering how much more time they'd have before the action showed up again. A friend of mine, who won't read a story until it's finished, has been asking me about this one on a regular basis..."is she through with it yet?" "No, not yet." (Not that I'm in any hurry for it to be over! The more, the better, as far as I'm concerned. Let her wait!)

Mal is not stupid, but he doesn't handle relationships well, and he never did seem to understand Jayne, so I'm trying to get all that into his characterization. I am going to try to get it finished this summer, but man, this has been one bitch of a summer. I'm almost looking forward to school starting so I can rest again.
