Ooooh, I'm liking this! I like that Xander is Angel/us' consort and they will share freaky powers.

I like decisive Angel/us and Xander standing up to him about being able to give him energy even without feeding.

And oh Ben is sooo gonna get it! :-)

Please, please could someone remember that Joyce is still looking ill and get either another doctor or a demon doctor to look at her?

I'm glad you approve of the consort thing. I know it came up in the first story, and people were very disappointed that I said it was all a myth. Even then, I intended this.

Ah! So that explains the weirdness. Myth becomes reality.

And of course, Xander and by proxy his soul are WAY stronger than people realize.

I had a feeling Xander's behavioral changes were somehow linked to Anyanka's spell.

Loved how Wesley kept forgetting about Ben and Glory. Angel's plan at the end was very tactful.

Aha finally an explanation for Xander's weird behavior - Xander is the world's only vampire consort and it's all because of Anyanka's wish/curse which is a nice twist on fanon.

Since S5 happened so long ago I'd forgotten about the whole forget spell, a variation of which was used in the new Doctor Who eps - I wonder if the Steven Moffat ever watched BtVS?

when Spike decides to really think things through, he is a very scary vampire. The only reason he doesn't rule the world is because he's having too much fun and he doesn't think things through. I actually didn't know about that strange spell since I wasn't a big watcher of the later seasons.Spike must've been really frustrated

Yeah it certainly was frustrating but it did lead to an amusing spike and Xander moment:

Spike turns to go. Xander pats Giles on the arm and then falls into step with Spike.

Spike: Found Ben's room at Glory's. Didn't learn much.
Xander: Wait, wait, wait. Ben? At Glory's? (Spike rolls his eyes) You're saying all this time he's been subletting from her?
Spike: This ... is gonna be worth it.

Spike bitch-slaps Xander upside the head.

Shot of the two of them from the rear as they both grab their heads in pain.
Spike/Xander: Ow!!
