Now that Caleb is in town I'm worried about Xander's eye. Also will you have the Guardian lady and that Scythe that's really an axe show up too. Will you go a little deeper into their backstory? I always pictured them up on a hill staring down at the Shadow Men (who became the Watchers) as they imbued the demon power into the first Slayer (Sineya?) who was the daughter of one of the Guardians-to-be. They watch the watchers and have been guarding the Scythe since that time.

Anyway I'm glad you're still posting this at a fairly steady rate and am looking forward to the next bit.

Can't tell you how much I loved Spike using Xander to show that a human can fight a demon - almost pee'd my pants laughing at your description of the fight, Xander's reaction and the ultimate threat: sleeping on the couch!

can I join the general begging and say please please please don't take Xander's eye? I can't bring myself to watch the final season of BtVS for so many reasons but that is a main one - it just breaks my heart each and every single time.

Spike trusts his Xander to keep his head during a fight--that's something the potentials need to learn. As far as Xander's eye goes, we're all going to have to see what happens. I'm reading the transcripts as we go, deciding on the fly how reality would change with the changing characters.

Urrgh! Caleb??? Damn! What's about Xanders eye?
Great update! I like how Spike used Xander and his reactions to his Spike. Uhm want to read more! I mean now *grin*.

I honestly don't know about the eye yet. I'm dealing with the transcripts as I hit them.

Got my problems with Buffy and Willow here. Hopefully, Kennedy will get offed in the attack, and Xander's eye will be spared. Where's Bonnie? ~issues, lol

I like the way Spike used Xander in his demonstration. It's just like fighting off any other attacker-go for the right parts, don't hesitate to commit violence, and fight back immediately and keep fighting. Xander didn't let the fact that he probably wouldn't get away stop him from trying.

I think both Buffy and Willow have serious issues in canon, and that's bleeding through to this piece. I still don't know why Buffy went so out of character in canon, but I'm going to believe Xander's theory about demons.

Adn yeah, Spike trusts his boy.

"You goober! Get off me." Xander hit Spike in the neck, making Spike's eyes water, but Spike grabbed Xander's right arm and pinned it to the ground. Xander's left was caught between their bodies, and Spike dug his toes into the soft ground to control Xander's attempts to squirm free or toss Spike to the side. Spike could feel the instant that the squirming changed. Xander started panting, his eyes wide with panic. Oh, the boy was a lusty bugger, but he'd never forgive himself if he gave the girls a show. Spike used brute strength to roll Xander over to his stomach and then sat on Xander's ass. Let the boy cool his heels enough to lose the bulge in his pants. LOL! Poor Xander! Still, that was kind of hot! Not to mention it shows that even normal people can kick ass without powers ( ... )

I think Xander knew he was in trouble the second Spike called him, but he came anyway. This whole episode just shocked me, though--Buffy leading everyone into a fight blind? That doesn't seem like Buffy.

There was a lot about season seven that din't feel like Buffy, It really makes me wonder what went through the writer's heads.
