Jack and Daniel snark actually has a sharper edge to it than Jim and Blair snark, that's for sure. It comes closer to Spike and Xander. So, it should be interesting to see how Jim reacts to a commanding officer with this kind of dynamic with this team. And don't worry, I have my devious plans for getting Jack, Daniel, Jim, and Blair all in the same space.

You do do a nice job with the cliff-hanger ending. *laughs* I am not sure if I want to kick you or offer you chocolate, to make you write faster. Which is totally unfair, since you do write so fast. Thanks for that, by the way, it's one of the things I love about you *g* Selfish? Me?

This whole chapter is a lovely bit of scene setting. I love that Jack cares for Daniel so much. I love that Blair is such a great fast thinker. And I love that you are playing the UST card so well.

Question - At least at this point Blair was fairly sure that [the] aliens were the equivalent of Ira and Edna Wiezman from Hoboken.
Did you mean 'were' or should that be 'weren't'?

I'm about to post the next chapter, so I won't leave you dangling from that cliff for two long. I am playing the UST card here, and when we switch to Jim's POV in two chapters, the why of that might become a little clearer. And it's *weren't* (facepalm).

I have just finished reading Shadows of the Past, and caught up on this story! It's just great! I like Stargate, and although I have never seen any Sentinel, you make them so real its almost as if I have!

The relationships are so convincing that if I ever see an episode I'll probably feel I've seen it before! and Jack and Daniel are right on!

Can't wait for the next chapter,

Lour

I'm so glad you're enjoying it. I do have fun writing the relationship with Jim and Blair simply because they are so close in canon. And the next chapter is coming out today.

You said you'd never seen an ep of the Sentinel and I thought I would send you this link. Surprisingly the first season isn't up there but the rest of the seasons are. Probably because you can get the first season on DVD. Enjoy!

Ah -- just got caught up on this and I had to speak up to say that it's wonderful. The detail is extraordinary and the characterizations magnificent. Eagerly awaiting more...

I'm so glad you're enjoying, and while I'm not up to your speed normally, I did just post another chapter today.

Ok, Jim spaces out when there's a gua'uld around. That's interesting. Excellent work.

Jim spaces when something's around. I think the next chapter gives you a better clue.
