I could seriously read this series forever. I wish she'd just continue it forever.

I can't recommend them enough. They're also some of the funniest books I've ever read.

Thank you so much! I love that you hosted this. There is never too much praise for awesome lady characters.

Jessica is just one of those characters that I just... get. More than just relating to, it's like understanding what she's going through & showing you that eventually all that other shit fades away. Great post!

I remember the first time I read the first book, I thought I was reading my own journals from high school. Jessica is such a welcome relief from a lot of the books aimed at teenagers now. Glad you liked it!

Stumbled here via the main Literary Ladies We Love post -- I'm so glad to hear of someone else who ADORES these books as much as I do! I make an effort to re-read them every year or two, and it's been amazing to see how my perspectives have grown and changed along with Jessica. When I was in high school reading Sloppy Firsts I just LOVED Jess and ~related to her so much because she just ~got me...and now, re-reading it, I groan inwardly at the pretentious jerk that she (and I) was.

This sentence: They are simultaneously the people they have always been and people the other doesn't know.

I'm sitting here with a lump in my throat because yes. That's absolutely perfect.

Great post, great books, great character! Glad to see someone else who loves Jess as much as I do! :)

I am the same way! I'm pretty sure who I am now would want to punch who I was ten years ago right in the face.

I feel like Jessica should be assigned reading for everyone. Megan McCafferty did such a great job with the entire arc of her life.
