First Tide Turning ☠ [action + marauding + voice]

Jul 23, 2011 15:17

Seems there's types about who'd make the village safe. Police; a village watch. They'll want prisons, next. A gallows.

Rather funny, that, considering the nature of the place, eh?

There's rogues about. Mind that; and if you can't, lock your doors.

Cut for action )

climbing in your windows, saqueador, a bit of piracy at last, snatching your people up

Just because these two haven't been able to thread non-drunk in awhile! goldenglasses July 23 2011, 19:42:49 UTC
[If there was one thing Vash hated about moving to house five was that he was a much farther walk from the bakery now. With an apple for a snack in hand he heads for town, making way to the closest bridge.

And is that Jack? What's he doing prancing around like that? He takes a bite of his apple and comes closer.] Hey, Jack! What are you trying to do? Wear a hole through the bridge?

Really? In months? [Because Vash remembers this time you dressed him up in a bar suit. Was that really one of the last times?]

[It....really was. And Jack might not even be COUNTING that.]

Erm---not since I promised Buffy and McCoy.

Then that doesn't seem fair at all. Maybe he just wants a boat himself.

Ha! "Fair," he says! Vash-lad, when has anything in life EVER been fair?!

Well, I'm sure if we all tried hard enough one day it could be.

Impossible! There are far too many cheaters and scoundrels in our midst!

Well, one day people won't have to lie and there will be no stealing. Then things will be fair. [You know what they say. If you're going to dream, dream big.]

Well, she's not exactly my mom. [Pretty damn close though. He was watching that talk you two were having.] But yes, you did. I'd appreciate it if you don't go around messing with her. [NO STEALING! NO GETTING DRUNK! NO STORIES ABOUT PIE STEALING!] Just be nice to her, will ya? [He's a little protective of his mommy.]

What? I was EVER so nice to her, Vash! I was a supreme gentleman with her! So polite! So thoughtful!

[Ohhhh the messing. The messing that could happen...]

Yeah well, don't be any less gentlemanly. Don't go telling her lies or stories that will upset her.

Why on EARTH would I LIE to her, Vash?

[Because you are a LIAR, Jack.]

The truth's far more fun, anyhow!

...maybe you should just leave her alone. Yup! Just don't talk to her at all!

But she's a very nice lady, mate! And she might eventually one day come around to the possibility of the idea of baking me something.

Well, at least don't talk to her about stealing. Don't try to talk her into marauding. Don't tell her the marauding you've done. Don't talk about any you've done with other people. Got it?
