As for the job at your old school thing, I DEFINITELY think that you should apply. Who gives a rat's ass if you weren't one of their model students? You've got a pretty good head on your shoulders as far as I can tell, and you're also an alumni of the school. The worst that can happen is that they don't call you for an interview. And if you do it, you'll at least be able to say you did, rather than if you didn't and you'd wonder what might have been, and you don't strike me as that kind of person. You strike me as the type to sort of take life as it comes at you and not do much looking back. I think that if you feel strongly about it and you want to do it, you should go for it! You never know what might happen. ♥
