I got up fairly early yesterday and my mom and I watched 1408. I liked it, save for a couple of visuals/things that were TOO over-done, I guess, but I liked it and John Cusack did a fabulous job.

Jason and I went out to lunch and on the way, I got a text from momentsofgold alerting me about the zodiac sign drama - WHICH, I KNOW BY NOW "ISN'T TRUE", OKAY, SO

Really? I wasn't super impressed by 1408. It just seemed too over the top in places; they didn't seem to fit in with the feel of the rest of the movie. My main issue I can remember was that part in the middle where OMG HE'S OUT OF THE ROOM, AND IT WAS JUST A HALLUCINATION. Or whatever. To me, it was just incredibly unconvincing; I didn't believe it for a second. I thought it might have some other purpose, but it didn't. And then when we talked about it afterward, I found out that a couple of my friends had actually bought into it. So, if that was supposed to be some ~big twist~, it just failed. I had a couple other issues with it, too, if I remember correctly, but I don't know what they were. Overall, the movie was okay, but not great. Of course, I'm not usually a scary movie person, either, so that might have something to do with it.

I will definitely agree that John Cusack did a great job, though.
