I'm doing the same kinda thing at the minute, but you sound like you have really struck lucky with your company! is this for a film ? I have been doing TV ones.
And there is a job as a location scout, you have to go up through the ranks but it is a job =]

Well I'm at university at the minute doing TV Production and have had to do 6 weeks work placement. I've done most of it at this place called Monkey World they have a series called Monkey Life and they've been really good, I get to do little bits of everything, from filming to admin. I'll be going back there after summer in my spare time, and then in August I'm going to London to do a week at Leopard Films.
Basically pretty much in the same position as you at the minute just finding my way, and seeing what bit I would like to do, whilst trying to get as much experience as possible!

Lol, your altruism is unprecedented! Reminds me of my friend's parents who caught him smoking (it was his first time) and consequently forced him to smoke the whole package in one go. He hasn't touched a cigarette ever again. :D
