I downloaded Lovely Bones last night! Going to watch today if I get time! I am excited, haven't read it either, thought about it but once I knew there was a film (with Rachel Weisz) Though i'd just watch :D

But that's not fair -- the media are completely different! Undoubtedly TV achieves things books can't, but books achieve things television can't, as well -- I won't go into detail unless you actually want to discuss this, lol, but maybe you haven't been reading the right books? Granted, I say this as a person who essentially lives for the written word -- but I also love me my visual media! It's just that what I get from both, psychologically and philosophically speaking, create completely different emotions/kinetic reactions.

bahaha obviously I could go on for hours; I'll stop. I think this may be a question of personal preference for content vs form, though, so as I said I'd love to discuss further if anyone's interested!
