You don't realize how much you two make me so grateful that distance is not something I have to worry about with my best friend. I hope you two can be together permanently in the near future. Best friends are soulmates.

*hugs* Oh, Lissie, babe. Trust me, I know that it's so so hard to be so invested in a friendship that gets abruptly pulled apart like that, even if it never does. And that as much as it's worth it, it never feels like that when you're saying goodbye. And just in general, the feeling of someone that gets you that much so that seperating would feel like seperating yourself. (Well, actually, that may be a little speculative- I've never met that person irl, but I can only imagine, and I've met plenty of people that come close.)

One day, you'll be together, hm? I know it's hard, but the next time you see each other will be here before you know it and it will make it worth it again.

This is one of the saddest, but most beautiful posts I've ever read! I truly, truly believe in soul mates. And I don't mean just in the sense of falling in love soul mates. I'm talking real, honest friendship kind of soul mates. I really felt your pain when reading through your experience, but I'm glad that you both left each other at a happy moment. It was so fun reading your adventures for the last two weeks. I hope you will be able to visit each other in person soon...
