I said to Gem in the car, "I can't wait for my kids to come home and tell me they learned about the Obama/McCain election that day in Social Studies class". No matter who wins, I can't wait to hear that.
That's so interesting, I ran into my favourite Social Studies teacher today. And we started talking, and he was one of those people who never gave his opinion on which side he'd choose, he's always been objective. So, here's me in awe when he says, he hopes Barack Obama is elected into presidency, and he would be very worried of a different outcome, and the state of the world (something like that). So, I definitely see what you mean. Just all the stuff you'd be able to tell them, I mean you've said it earlier that you weren't exactly interested in politics, but look at you now, look what this election made you really think about.
Obama reminds me of Franklin D Roosevelt. I am very hopeful in that regard.
I didn't get a sticker -- it's kind of disappointing! But I don't think I've ever gotten a sticker... They did have soft pretzels and water, though, so that was nice.
I was #772. There were two districts voting at this school, ours and a tiny, tiny district that had, like, NO line. There were maybe 15-20 people in that line at any given moment. Same number of voting booths, though.
I just really hope I can still have faith in humanity after tonight.

I want my kids to tell me about it, and I want to say that I saw Obama speak, that I called, that I remember all the little details of it.
