follow me down to the valley below, moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul

The cabin. IDEK. I pretty much just slept the ENTIRE time. No really. I didn't even get anything done on the computer, either. I have no idea. We of course laid in hammocks all day (or when their music outside got on my nerves or the neighbors came over, I laid INSIDE all day) and made smores at night and oh oh! My sister and I picked rhubarb from ( Read more... )

That sounds like a nice fun stay at the cabin. :)

The older you get the more things about your life you review, the good, the bad in comparison to the present. I feel like I contemplate too much myself, as I tend to get angsty afterwards.

What's so freaky about the burgers?

Rhubarb + custard pie = the fucking nicest thing ever! Haven't had one in years.. ;_;
My granny doesn't make them any more.

Sleeping all this time is actually good, I mean it is kinda catching up from your trip, even if it's a while ago. And hey, good way to avoid people. ;D

Fun times! Sometimes lying around in a hammock and just chilling is the best thing ever to do. XD Welcome back!

And OMG. What's wrong with White Castle burgers? Do they taste like crap or something!? I saw the movie and figured they must be amazing for the entire show to be based on them - and then someone told me it was a huge joke because the burgers are gross. True?!

Well, just sleeping all the time sounds like an amazing trip! ;)

But I get this thing about change. But at least your Grandma keeps all that sentimental stuff about her kids and grandkids. It's sometimes really sad to come home to my mom's when there's nothing that implicates that she even has a daughter except for one or two photos hidden somewhere. I recently asked for photos about me as a little kid, but she doesn't have any. Another time she found some baby stuff from me and asked me, if I wanted to keep it or if she could throw it away...seriously, what am I supposed to say to that?! Throw it away if it doesn't mean anything to you!!!
/rant about myself... sorry for the emos!

A yellow fridge? Lol! Thumbs up for your Gran!

I seriously didn't know what to do, because I didn't have any memories of these things, so I asked my Gran to decide and she looked over the stuff and could tell a story to each and every piece. Go figure! Well, my Mom was really pissed about that and called her a sentimental fool. Before it could turn into a major fight, we took the whole box and brought it to my Gran. I told her to keep whatever she wanted and she choose a teether, because you can still see the gap where I lost my first tooth (before I even turned one year old), a little teddy that I used to sleep with and a few clothes that my Gran and even my Grand-grandma and Grand-grandpa(!) had knitted for me! ♥

Sleep is the perfect escape. Sometimes even the worst nightmares are nothing compared to the ugliness of the real world.

Glad you had fun and even more glad to have you back!
