most romantic moment?

Tell me about the most romantic moment of your life. I don't care if you've never had a boyfriend or been on a date. By romantic, I mean something really beautiful/thoughtful someone has done for you or a really serene, gorgeous, one-in-a-million moment you've shared with someone else. Friends can be "romantic", situations can be "romantic", even ( Read more... )

question for you, lj - !de

Love that icon.

Last year, I got an F on a math test and I was really upset because usually I get Bs or atleast a high C. And I was trying really hard not to cry but I did anyway, and my friend, Glen, who I have a crush on now, but I didn't then, hugged me and then, lol, he put a piece of paper in my locker with like, a million smiley faces on it and wrote "From Glenny" on it. And he just did that because he's a really nice guy. IL him.

And today he told me I looked really pretty. Hee. ♥

We didn't really reveal that we liked each other at the moment, but I remember talking (texting, sorta) about what we want to do in life, who we want to be with (describing the perfect person - we described each other, basically) and what kind of house we want to live in, where we want to live, etc. It was just...I don't even know ( ... )

Ok I have 2-

#1- Sort a Sappy and Romantic, but whatever, when y husbad proposed he went all out in the way he did it. We had a friend who worked for one of the big radio stations out here and they pre recorded him saying a heartfelt message then he proposed, it was planned to air at a certain time and as we sat out at Lovers Point (a beach in Carmel, CA) suddenly I heard his voice over the airwaves and it was the most amazing thing anyone had ever done for me.

#2- My very good, if not best, friend just recently had her husbad (not a typo) leave her for another woman, she was broken and hurt and alone.(She's from Canada so literally here with a few friends, no family) I didn't know what to do but I needed to be there for her, so I drove up, she lives 2 hours away, brought her "special" cookies, made her dinner and snuggled with her all night and watched the Office just so she'd laugh. She says that that saved her life.

Well, this *is* a boyfriend story, so I hope that's ok ;-)

Ben and I went to Paris in March. We went up the Eiffel Tower after dark. It was freezing cold. We stood on the second from top deck (the top was closed cuz it was too windy) and looked out over the city, which was all lit up with millions of lights. There was traffic on the roads. He put his arms around me and rested his chin on my head to keep me warm. The Eiffel Tower was all lit up with flashing fairy lights. In that moment I suddenly understood what it means when people call Paris a romantic city. It was one of the most beautiful, calm, clear moments of my whole life. The city just looked amazing, and the cold wind didn't matter because all there was was the two of us and the lights in the dark. It was just one of those moments when we both said, WOW, and wanted to stay there forever.
