I have a 1500 word fiction story due tomorrow. Prompt me. I don't really want to base it off of Mulder or Cuddy or anything fanfiction-y, though - I think I would be so obsessed with characterization that it'd take too long. So if you just have random ideas to get me going, that'd be awesome. HELPPPP. I hate schoolwork where I don't really get any ( Read more... )

Random words always help me.

Feather, hide, loose, run, tackle, enormous, banana, level, mingle, help...

There's some website like randomwords.com or... idk that generates a new word every time you refresh the page. I wish I could remember what it was.

Character: Advisor to a an old, dying king
Desire: Wants to be in that position of power
Obstacles: The king's son is the rightful heir and will inherit the throne.
Resolution: The advisor's upcoming execution for heresy.

Just something that popped into my head. We always seem to write about heroes. Why not write about a "villain" but one that is justified? It is sometimes hard to put one's self in the place of "wrong-doing" but it's a challenge none-the-less. We all know rightfully that the son inherits the throne, but in the Advisor's eyes, he believes he should rightfully be there. Why? Why is the present king and the next-in-line so wrong for the job? And the advisor can be Jafar-like: y'know, really evil. I find the more evil, the more fun you can have with this anti-hero.

*shrugs* IDK but I do know that I heart you.

I've just been reading a fascinating article for sociology about bisexuality and coming out and how it is more difficult for bisexuals to come out because of society's misinterpretation of the term and hoe bisexuals often end up living with multiple sexual and social identities to compensate. So how about:

Character: A 20-something bisexual person (I'll leave the gender to you)
Desire: To live as honest a life as possible
Obstacles: Fear associated with people not understanding their sexual identity and a feeling of being somehow abnormal.
Resolution: The character takes a flying leap into the unknown and come out to someone really important to them.

Characters : a woman and a man.

Story : A woman and a man, they lived together. On morning, the man went to work and had a car accident and dead. But he got a second chance and came back but with a female body. Now he/she had to decide to let his/her lover know he/she was back or let her go.

I know, sounds like a soap storyline.
