I think that's total bullshit, and everyone in my house says it sounds shady. I know a lawyer in St. Paul who could probably tell you whether that was bullshit, if you want to actually talk to someone who's licensed in MN. Or you can always cross out the parts you don't like and sign it, which is what lawyers do with contracts they don't like ;)

Right?! Totally. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. I've drafted an email to her going through point by point all the things that don't seem fair to me, I'm sure she won't even read it and will instead just pick up the phone and be like, "I didn't read your email all the way through, when I saw what it was about I thought it'd be better to just call." No, lol, we're doing this over email because I need to be able to hold your contradicting ass accountable. I'll let you know how it goes! If it doesn't resolve after my notes, I'd love the name of that lawyer!

I'm in awe at how much you've build yourself and your career over the past few years, it's amazing. And your shit just gets better and better. I love it. Those shots up there? ACE. The website is SO MUCH BETTER too, but I don't think you need any validation on that. ;)

Seriously, these clauses sound wrong to me. Obviously I know nothing about the legal stuff in the US, but such a contract wouldn't fly here. She can't forbid you to take on jobs fort services that she doesn't offer.

I'm so glad things are pulling together for you and that you're able to do so much of what you love.

But, I totally think you need to cut yourself loose from that control freak. That contract is bullshit and how stressful she is as a boss is just not worth it. You are amazing at what you do and will always be able to find work. You don't wanna get stuck under the thumb of some bitch who doesn't really appreciate you.
