TEN DAYS - A House/Cuddy video
dsafjklhsdjfas. This, my friends, was what got me in the mood for that amazing walk the other day. This one just makes me feel so GOOD and the song is just SO amazing, and Missy Higgins is my absolute favorite as of late. And this is totally different than anything I've ever done. I downloaded the actual music video for this song and then mixed it all in with House & Cuddy. Like, you know if a movie has like a main song or something? And the actual music video for that song has clips of the movie laced in? This is what this is like. I don't know, I think of it as a kind of soundtrack or something. I was actually kind of worried about taking this risk, because that's what it felt like to me - a risk, but I'm glad I did and I'm really happy with how this turned out. It's different, and I think that aesthetically it's just really pretty.
This video deals with the idea of them being apart, and leaving each other, but always coming back. ♥

Doing this put me in SUCH a great mood you guys, so I hope that watching it can make you feel part of that too. AND OH I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THAT ART. The picture on the bottom is a picture I took coming across this bridge *points outside* over the Minnesota border lol. And those palm trees are from the picture that ladyvader2 took for me when she went to Cali. And then that is a map of MN, btw. hahahaha.
01.) 0:21 - watch her eyes and just kind of listen for the music, idk.
02.) 0:30 - love this shot.
03.) 0.39 - listen for that, idk "twang" in the music when he looks to the right.
04.) 0:44 - this was meant to match the shot from Insensitive. Like they got in a fight and he's trying to go to her but she's just ignoring them because she's still too pissed off.
05.) 0:53 - just look at her face. i think it just says so much. lisa ilu.
06.) 0:55 - LOOK AT THAT. DO YOU BELIEVE HE EVEN PLAYED LIKE THAT. AND THAT IT MATCHES MY MUSIC THAT PERFECTLY.
07.) 0:59 - head down on the piano.
08.) 1:02 - idk, i just like the way her head goes down on "go-oh".
09.) 1:03 - meant to be the same night as #3 & #4 here. this scene/idea is like, a constant throughout the whole thing, if you know what I mean by that. Basic idea is they got in a fight, and they're making their way back, and then there's flashes of other small instances of this all in between and I'll shut up now because this makes no sense. But yes.
10.) 1:11 - hand on the door on that piano.
11.) 1:20 - "departures". haha you probably noticed but I felt the need to point it out. "if i'm going away, your heart's coming too." the idea here is that yes, he is away and in his little hotel room but he brought her with him in this thoughts and everything, and they're still talking and together and trying to work stuff out. his eyes on "heart". her eyes on "too".
12.) 1:27 - i like this because whoever that is standing in front of House, really frames him nicely as his hand from the previous shot wipes over him.
13.) 1:35 - idk, her hand. "trace".
14.) 1:37 - *snap*TEN days. watch his thumbs, they're cute and i actually paid attention haha "without you".
15.) 1:43 - blink on "only", steo on "my".
16.) 1:47 - i didnt want to just have a shot of him sleeping. i thought it was a little more creative.
17.) 1:49 - parallel! they're both looking at watches!
18.) 1:59 - i wanted him to be playing with that piano again.
19.) 2:06 - palm tree kind of cuts right between them.
20.) 2:10 - love that violin.
21.) 2:15 - and so begins my favorite sequence. rubberband stops right on that note, made it cut to Cuddy on "awww", idk, i just really really like the cuts here. like on "had" & "gone". 2:21 watch her eyelashes on that rattle in the music. the idea is obv. that they're apart, yet again.
22.) 2:35 - doors doors doors! i love this sequence because it just kind of shows how they are constantly coming back into and shutting each other out of their lives.
23.) 2:38 - head on the piano. just... timing for this whole sequence in general, see if you pick up some stuff i was going for.
24.) 2:42 - just listen for music when he hits the pot on the house and then again when he puts it down. and the key. i just had to.
25.) 2:48 - same thing except this time it's with office doors.
26.) 2:53 - cuddy on the violin.
27.) 2:55 - mini-parallel. cuddy leads him into her office, house leads her into his.
28.) 3:02 - "time has changed nothing at all". none of that other shit matters because she's back again just like they both knew she would be.
29.) 3:09 - cutting the ropes. she tries to walk away, but he's got ahold of her heart.
30.) 3:21 - sjdfhsladkfhlsdkjfa. this was so hard to work with you guys. you think i'd be over it by now, but no.
31.) 3:24 - i had to cut it to make her grab him on "home" and him grab her on "still".
32.) 3:28 - is it just me, or is this way cute in slow motion. her little thumb!
