Today was a semi-frustrating day at work, again due to unnecessary meetings with parents.  I don't even want to go into it.

But there was a cool thing.  The cool thing was that I had lunch with the library staff and the visiting author, Myke Bartlett.  In the session he had with my class, he talked about "The Hero's Journey", which was interesting

Erm, you've come across the hero's journey before, right? Joseph Campbell, Hero with a Thousand Faces, and whatnot.

I haven't! But Myke Bartlett talked about it in his session with the students and I wrote down some notes. So now I have come across it.
