So I've been indulging in an orgy of fanfic reading the last couple of days.  Veering wildly back and forth between J/7 and T/7.  Today I'm on a T/7 kick and reading old favorites from Perfect Misfits, Lisa Countryman's site and VJB.  The nostalgia is pwning me hard.  *sighs*  I need to find a new fandom or something.  It's too depressing reading

You need to bug gorynna to write you new VOY fic :D That said, I wouldn't be surprised if VOY gets a bit of a resurgence thanks to the renewed interest in Trek that's come from the new movie. Sure, most of the people are reboot-only and will be gone as soon as the next fandom of the moment comes along, but there are other people (like me!) who have been drawn into the franchise as a whole, and they'll be sticking around for longer, and quite probably boosting the VOY fandom when they get up to that series :) Fingers crossed, anyway!

(Besides, you know that I'd only go and recommend TOS to you if I were to recommend a fandom, and that sucks when it comes to femmeslash.)

Your words do inspire some hope, but I can't help but feel that the Voyager fandom's glory days are over. :( It's sad to click on links to old sites and see them disappearing one by one. But yes... resurgence. Hopefully there will be one! *crosses fingers*

Hmm, do you have any good TOS fics to rec? And by good, I mean EPIC.

I can't wait till you get to Voyager and fall madly in love with it. :P

The glory days probably are over, yes, but don't give up hope entirely *g* What they need to do is make a Voyager movie, to drag all the n00bs into that verse ;)

Ah, no TOS recs, no. For all it's being the oldest slash fandom, it doesn't have a very high calibre of writing :/ I'm sure it's largely that I haven't stumbled upon the right stuff, yet, but there's really nothing I'd rec so far.

If you're at all interested in a K/S reboot fic with TOS references, this is probably the best fic I've read so far.

Omg, I would DIE for a Voyager movie. But Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway) and the other cast members are getting pretty old now, and I can't see TPTB agreeing to make one, especially with the reboot having been so successful - they'll probably just make a sequel to that instead. Oh! but maybe they'll do like a reboot Voyager, in which they never got home and are still in the Delta quadrant and Endgame never happened and... *dreams on*

I always thought targs were more dog-like than cat-like. I don't remember ever seeing a stuffed one on the show.

Well, probably... I don't recall seeing one, either, or I probably wouldn't have suggested it. How about Tika? Isn't there a Tika cat on some show? Or Matika, like the spider on that Jungle to Jungle movie that kept scaring the piss out of everyone NOT born in a South American jungle.

Tika is just not epic enough for this cat. And the only Tika I know is a freckly redheaded barmaid from the Dragonlance books... so no. :P

I rather like Uziel but it reminds me of either a gun or an angel.. not sure which yet. Osiris doesn't fit with the Viking naming theme. A Norse god would be better. :P

I came across a name of nordic islands - Faeroe seems gender non specific not sure of the meaning but thought it might fit
