Oooh, wow. The *ocean*! It's so damn amazing-looking. The color and the rocks, so gorgeous. And how *weird* to see penguins in sand and green plants! The cables disappearing into fog is a big freaky, heh, but probably fun to ride through ( ... )

the african penguins live much like the little penguins & the galápagos penguins i've seen, so i've adapted - but it IS weird, i agree.

i've never been scared of the water or what's in it. i just thoroughly dislike being in it.

i generally prefer southwest & delta. most airlines these days change for ANY checked baggage, but IME they've all allowed a free bag when traveling internationally - even alaska does that & they're jerks.

yep, there's definitely a lot of water-creativity around there. was that the article that went on about the album of 2-second shower songs? :)

mmmm now i want more ungulate kebabs, too :D

yes, the whole thing about "black africans" is... better, but still really not okay.

it's easy to not be the standard ugly american when you loathe all of them. X)

when you do things like this, it hurts my feelings and disrespects my experience. it also communicates to me that i cannot be honest in my own travelogues because i'll be punished for my vulnerability. i'm already suicidally depressed, as you know. please don't go out of your way to remind me of the lowest points in my life, especially when I've specifically asked not to be.

there's a difference between playful teasing and just being cruel. i can't take any more of the latter.
