Lazyweb: linux-style desktops on Windows

Is there an app for XP that will give me linux-style desktops that I can switch between? I like being able to name one desktop "code", one "browser", one "mail", etc, and then have an easy way to flip through application windows by group.

The Virtual Desktop Manager from PowerToys for Win XP is supposed to do that.
