I've discovered what the bugs invading my house--the ones I've been calling "stink bugs"--really are. They're
Geonosians!
... nah, actually, they're
Western conifer seed bugs, Leptoglossus occidentalis. Apparently they've been having a banner year in New England, even though they're originally--as the name suggests--from the West Coast.

'Cause I can supply a lot of that, as well as some secondhand squee from others.
Jus' sayin'. :D

It does help, but it also makes me a little anxious? For example, I spent a lot of time worrying that you'd be bothered that I didn't cast you as a Dzur -- although I think Fotheringil is a really amazing character, and I hope it works out for you.

I love Dzur. I love their mentality, and I love that their level of thinking things through is constantly under-estimated. Casting me as a Dzur is, in a lot of ways, a possible shortcut to Things What I Love, but isn't a guarantee, y'know?
(But I could pick all the fights. ;) )
Then I got Fotheringil, and read it, and was all, HOLY SHIT I HAVE BEEN CAST AS REDACTED EXCEPT THAT HE'S ALSO REDACTED AND THERE IS ALSO REDACTED AND THAT IS SO AWESOME!
So what I'm saying is, based on the hintsheet, I am more than thrilled.
Aside: I also know someone who spent all day yesterday bored at work and trying to consider just what kind of doublet to get for this game. I also know someone who is all, "Athyraparty in the corner and you aren't invited!" to me and it's the best.
I suspect people are stoked.

Athyraparty, heh. Would that be from Kathy, the person I cast as Seodra? You're not narrowing it down much--this game has more Athyra than any other House--which makes sense, given it's their reign. But also Dragons, because I love Dragons like you love Dzur.
(Although, I love me some Dzur, too. One of my favoritefavoritest moments in the Romances is when Sethra and Tazendra go to investigate Gyorg Lavode's room after he's been assassinated. The combination of the "there was never a stupid sorcerer who lived past his five hundreth year" + Tazendra's meditation on the nature of the Dzur is truly excellent).
(Truth be told, I could ramble for a while on my favorite parts of the Romances)
(I'm sure you understand)

The show DOES end on episode 13. The last three episodes weren't part of the original series; they were included on the Japanese DVDs, and thus, apparently, you get them if you watch it on Netflix or Hulu. But they're really kind of awful :(
I really love Baccano. It's crack, but it's good crack--crack that I feel is about something. (I would say the theme, if there is a conscious one, is about the boredom of eternity, and the various ways that the different immortal characters cope with that, usually poorly). I am a fan of Ladd Russo in particular :) I want to watch it again because there's a lot of cleverness going on there in the CAST OF THOUSANDS that I probably didn't all catch.

At some point in the future Tiffany and I may very well cosplay Isaac and Miria, because those were our absolute favorite characters (that or Jacuzzi/Nice because they're awesome)

Mostly we deal with them by vacuuming them up with the central vac. Still really annoying when they decide to take a shower with you, or swoop down on your food.

Our cat is fond of them, though. She goes into crazed hunter mode.

... actually, I'll do the casting either way. I'll just cast blind, if I have to.
