Alsoalso, they changed the name of the series? It's no longer The Penitent Damned?

Yeah I'm hoping they release the cover art soon! I imagine things are a bit ... wet there right now though so I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, apparently they thought Penitent Damned was too church-y. I suggested something with Campaigns to convey the military feel, and that's what we finally came up with. I'm amused because the original book that inspired this whole monster is called "The Campaigns of Napoleon", though they didn't like "The Campaigns of Janus bet Vhalnich" as a sub-title...

Yeah, I suspect putting proper names in your book/series titles doesn't draw people in unless it's a character people know already (or you're an author people know already).

I will be doing much pimpage once that page has a summary, at least!

The eternal dilemma: there ought in general to be more of X, but it doesn't seem reasonable to require/expect any particular individual to make X. :(

I attended Viable Paradise this year, and it was a really, really good experience. I'll second Mr. Brust -- *kick*! Feel free to poke me if you've got any questions.

I'm definitely personally motivated to write in large part by wanting to see more queer characters.
