Demons Covenant ARC Contest Entry (Fail)

I love, love, love this series, have met many awesome people due to the fan community (love you fishies!) and can't wait for the next one. Seeing as it's written in the point of view of Mae - possibly the most awesome character ever - I chose to base my entry on her thoughts after the events of Lexicon.

Right! Here I am commenting. Because I was fail and told you already that I liked it over a different part of the internet when originally I just thought I'd be all ninja like and come back and comment today. ANYWAY.

I like this! Mae is an awesome character, but a complex one, and I think you captured her well here - and she would so so think "none of her girlfriends could say they had kissed a demon". Also, I really like the line "And what about Jamie? He was - or rather, had the ability to be - a magician. And if she caught him feeding people to demons any time soon, she would kick him from here into next year." because this totally demonstrates exactly the kinda irrationality and protectiveness and possessiveness that is so characteristic of the Crawford siblings, and maybe of all siblings.

So yeah, tis good! :) Now you'll just have to write something else for the competition :P

I'm gad you liked it! Mae is such an awesome character, and I'm still not entirely sure I did her justice...sometimes in the book I feel her reactions to situations are similiar to mine, so then when I write stories from her POV I'm always like 'Am I writing Mae's thoughts or mine?' and I find it really hard to get into her headspace.
....I can't believe I didn't see the word limit. Ultimate fail.
