I'm like you, I don't mind fast forwarding the infant stage, but I really enjoy the tot stage. I think it adds a lot to the family dynamic to have toddlers in a household.

The talk is that they could add it back in in an expansion pack, but I'm not keen on paying more money for something I think they should have had in the base game in the first place.

The production team is taking a lot of flak right now and a LOT of people have cancelled pre-orders and/or decided not to get the game based on this new info. There are a number of petitions going around asking that the game be delayed so that the tots can be added in. I signed them- don't think it is going to help because, well because it is EA and they don't really seem to care what the players want, especially when it means they can make more money off us by introducing the content later in a pack or store content.
