I'm guessing this isn't the kind of comment you wanted, but you are so smart about music. I learned a lot reading this post, so... thank you. :D

Haha, no, I just listen to too much Eminem. ;) But glad you learned about the power of Slim Shady!

I found this entire post wildly interesting. I listen to a lot of hip hop and rap, although I've never seen a rap verse broken down this way before. I've never really had the understanding to articulate WHY I loved Eminem so much. But this has helped me see what makes him such a good rapper (and why Lil' Wayne is so lame haha).

I also think it's cool you can analyze these things even though you aren't a huge fan of rap in general.

Anyway, loved this post.

Aww, thanks. I love the rap I listen to! I just don't listen to it as my primary genre, so I do tend to only get the surface stuff, mostly. I've kinda wanted to do this with an Eminem verse for a long time.

Lil John is that funny guy who yells a lot who did the beat for that "doo doo, doo DOO" Yeah! Usher song, Lil Wayne sounds like Fat Cartman Drode.

Also that clip is amazing.

Heh, I really do. I can appreciate the beauty of a well-crafted sentence and the simplicity of a demand curve!

So Weezy? You get no love. I have, however, found it far easier to listen to your guest verses if I imagine you as the Drode.

Generally rap is not my genre (or at least the subject matter of a lot of it- learn to respect women a little bit more, boys), but plus one hundred life points for the Animorphs reference snuck in there at the end. ;)

Eh, I feel like there's an entire genre of rock music based on "that bitch left me what a skank whorrrrreeeee". Rap's not all bad. ;)

Everything is always about Animorphs.

I enjoy some rap music- but it's generally either Eminem or older things I random hear on the radio and flash back to, you know?

Lil Wayne is obnoxious, though. :P
