sexy

According to People magazine this year's sexiest man alive is Blake Shelton, a guy I have never heard of before and now I learn he's dating Gwen Stefani and singing country music. Apparently a homophobe too from some tweets of his that scrupulous people put together. Are all sexy men dead or really aliens? How could this ordinary looking guy be the ( Read more... )

Every year they pick someone I'd never have voted for!

Who would get your vote?

My Damien, haha! But with celebrities, my vote goes to Illan Riviere, a Tribal Fusion dancer from France:

He is so beautiful! I think we have different tastes in men, but Illan just slays me!

There are many vids on YT since he's one of the best dancers out there, but this one is short and sweet and one of my favorites:

What's beautiful is beautiful. And Illan is hypnotizing. I have subscribed to his channel. He has such a fire in him!

Well, if I was voting for someone that I thought was mainstream sexy, I would go Chris Evans, especially when he's allowed to keep his chest hair, and especially especially when he's got his beard going. I used to think he was attractive only in a "dumb jock" sort of way, but he's really matured and has impressed me lately with how thoughtful and well-spoken he can be. Plus he has one of the cutest dogs in the world that he just adores and you can't beat an attractive man with a sweet dog.

However, to me personally the top three sexiest men will always be Viggo Mortensen, Callum Keith Rennie, and Lance Henriksen. They Do Things to me and always will. Callum especially gets sexier every year, how does he do that.

I love Chris Evans!!! And he seems to be a really good guy in real life too! Viggo Mortensen has his own mystique - he's beautiful but he also has a special depth. A great actor too!

Viggo is a fascinating person and I love his poetry and his photography, even if his music is a little weird sometimes. ;)

And I left out Ralph Fiennes, tut on me.

I love Ralph Fiennes too! He is an amazing actor - what a presence! He gives class to every film he's in!

I can't comment on the sexiness of the men, but what I can certainly say is that homophobia is extremely widespread and deeply ingrained in society. To be described as a 'poof' or as being 'poofy' were the ultimate insults when I was at school, and nobody would ever have dared to admit to being gay. The high school I went to had 1,600 pupils, and at a rough guess I suppose at least 100 of those might have been gay, but I never had a clue who any of them, of either sex, were. This in a country where the influence of religion has decreased enormously over the past fifty years or so, so it can't even be blamed on that.

Romania is very homophobic. It's something that depresses me every time. We are so far from acceptance, we actually seem to be moving in the opposite direction :(

Yeah, it can be pretty depressing and frustrating to realise how little things have changed during my lifetime. In my teens and twenties, I felt completely out-of-step with conventional morals and values, and although there's been quite a bit of progress with regard to things like sexual and gender issues here in Scotland, there seems to have been no progress at all in other areas. We still have the same religious sectarianism and bigotry, for example. That's a thing that should have no place whatsoever in our society. And with regard to social equality and eliminating poverty, we've taken many steps backwards, and things are far worse now than when I was growing up.

That guy’s not sexy at all!

I don’t have a favourite.

I find this guy unsexy too. He's not repulsive or anything, but that's not much...

Wow, you could pitch a circus tent on Blake's enormous forehead!
At least Dwayne Johnson is a great human being. He's humble and generous, and those two traits go really well together.

I haven't kept up with male celebrities to have a favourite, actually.

Huge forehead, unattractive face. I don't know much about Dwayne Johnson's personality, but I have seen him in several movies and I didn't hate him. Not a fan of his look though. At all. If he is a good guy, then good for him!

Rock is a gigantic nerd (by which I mean both physical stature and level of nerdiness) and just a good guy all round. He adores all animals and plays D&D. I don't know about sexy, but he's definitely someone I could hang with.

It sounds like he is a cool guy. Still not sexy, but being a good guy is much more than sexy.
