I so want to post this on Facebook...

... but I know it looks too much like gay porn. I shouldn't be ashamed of liking gay porn and even less videos with naked rugby players doing art photo shoots, but I am careful with Facebook. My (Romanian) boss is on it. Not that she really knows how to use it, but... it's safer to avoid certain content, I guess.

And this vid for the 2013 Dieux Du ( Read more... )

vid, art, sexy

Hm...nice! :D

Antique statues weren't particularly well-endowed because that was the aesthetic standard of the time. Large penises would have been seen as grotesque or comic, and the smaller "packages" of adolescents (and their lack of body hair) were considered the ideal.

Aristophanes mentioned the ideal of masculine beauty as being: "A gleaming chest, bright skin, broad shoulders, tiny tongue, strong buttocks, and a little prick."

Interesting standards of beauty! I remember I've seen a documentary about some antique sculptures kept away from the eye of the public by the museums because they were erection poses and stuff like that, that might have hurt the sensibilities of today's chaste public.

Yeah, it's ridiculous that natural things are so taboo-ized today in many countries. Probably the statues were of Priapus, who was always depicted with an absurdly large penis in an erect state - which, of course, he was a fertility god, so why not?

Maybe they didn't want to embarrass the other statues by comparison with him... David and surely Perseus too were surely lobbying for the censoring of Priapus...

There is nothing in that video that I don't whole-heartedly approve of. Life would be so much better, for all peoples of all nations, if only there were more hot naked rugby players. I might even start to get interested in rugby, myself (I don't know the first thing about it).

Back in ye olde times, large cocks were a sign of comedic, or they had negative connotations. Fun fact: in an excavated Roman city (Pompeii? or Herculaneum?) they found door stops in the shape of giant penises. In some of the public baths, there were humorous mosaics featuring men with testicular elephantiasis, or ridiculously enlarged members. Though, there were protests from some patrons that they were too vulgar for decent places, and many were eventually painted over with more 'proper' motifs.

Since you know American football, rugby is the original thing, without the woosy protection gear. If you get a chance to watch, it will grab your attention fast and you will figure out the rules as you go. And the guys are all big and muscular and with great butts, which is a plus! The guys in the Dieux Du Stade calendar are all French rugby players, but all teams have nice specimen in them.

Interesting how the perception of the dick size has changed through time!
